WILSHERE GIVES UPDATE ON FUTURE
England international Jack Wilshere has given an update on his future as a professional footballer in an exclusive interview with TalkSPORT.
Jack Wilshere was given permission to train with the Derby County squad by former England national team colleague Wayne Rooney in a bid to keep fit. Rooney is the Derby County manager. Derby County had a shortage of players before the start of the season due to a transfer embargo but still didn’t give Wilshere a contract. For now, the England national team midfielder is a free agent.
Wilshere came through the youth rank at Arsenal before making his debut for the club at the age of 16. He was an hot prospect back then and was a regular in the Arsenal XI at a young age until injury struck. Jack Wilshere has not been able to recover well from the various injury issues.
England national team player Jack Wilshere was an Arsenal player until the summer of 2018 when he was released at the end of his contract in North London. His Arsenal exit coincided with legendary manager Arsene Wenger leaving the club. The Gunners replaced Wenger with Unai Emery who opted for Jack Wilshere to leave the club since he could not guarantee him a regular place in the starting line-up.
Wilshere signed for London rivals West Ham United on a free transfer. He penned a three-year deal worth £100,000.
The Hammers didn’t let him finish the contract before it was terminated at the start of last season. Wilshere spent last season at Bournemouth in the English Championship following his abrupt release at West Ham United.
