WILSHERE RESPONDS TO RUMORS LINKING HIM TO WEST BROM

Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has recently been reported to be attracting severe interest from West Bromwich Albion, as well as other clubs. Even though the January winter transfer window is shut now, it does not stop Wilshere from being able to sign for another club as he is a free agent. Since leaving Sky Bet Championship wide Bournemouth at the end of last season, he has been without a club. The appointment of new boss Steve Bruce at West Brom has led to reports being intensified about the Baggies possibly making a move for him as soon as possible or in the summer.

Since being without a club, he has been training with his former club Arsenal and was recently quoted as saying that he would love to return to the Emirates Stadium but according to the Gunners manager Mikel Arteta, the free agent will not be signing for the north London outfit. Speaking as a reply to the possibility of Wilshere rejoining Arsenal, Arteta said even though it is a nice compliment for the former England international star that the players who played alongside him at Bournemouth hailed his attributes, he would not be returning to Arsenal.

When asked if his next club could be Arsenal, Wilshere said that he didn’t know. He did say that he would love that to happen, but also stressed that it is not within his power to make that happen. He added that he has been talking to a number of clubs outside England and will try to reach agreement with one of those clubs as he hopes to return to the pitch as soon as possible.

Grealish would love the chance to join West Brom and play under Steve Bruce but like he said, it is not within his power and that might be difficult.
