WILSHERE IS PROGRESSING
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has said that Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has progressed a lot in terms of the recovery from the injury and is all set to resume full training soon. Jack Wilshere suffered a number of problems in his knee at the start of the season, which meant that he had no other option than to undergo a knee surgery.
It was expected that the England midfielder could be out for the first half of the season, and the expectations have been made true. So far, he has not resumed full training, but Arsene Wenger has said that there have been positive news regarding his recovery.
He is expected to start some training over the next few days, while he will be receiving full training by the end of this month. It comes as a major boost for Arsenal, whose title challenge has come to an end to the season. However, they are still in the race for finishing in the top four, which is essential for qualification into the Champions League. A club like Arsenal needs to play in the Champions League every season in order to meet the finances required to run the club stable.
It is thought that Jack Wilshere could return to the Arsenal first-team fold in the first few weeks of February. Arsene Wenger is thought to be targeted games against Blackburn and Sunderland in the first week of February as possible comeback dates for Jack Wilshere. In the absence of the England midfielder, a lot has an expected of Wales midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who has just come back from a horrible leg injury.
The return of Jack Wilshere could also enable Arsene Wenger to consider selling midfielder Andrei Arshavin, who has become largely ineffective in recent seasons at Arsenal.
